07/17/18 – We started our first leg of the TransAmerica Trail today from Kitty Hawk this morning with a great send off from my Aunt Ellen and Uncle Johnny (Zach’s dad)! And we made it to our first planned stop in Edenton, North Carolina just before dark. I was thinking this would be an uneventful first day, but definitely not….I dodged a bear cub, saw a snake and not one, but two alligators. Unfortunately, the GoPro wasn’t on, so I have no proof, but you can’t make this stuff up!!!
